Whole Grain Waffles


1½ cups reduced fat milk

¾ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup quick-cooking oats

½ cup whole wheat flour

1 large egg, lightly beaten

2 tablespoon vegetable oil

3 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt


In a large bowl, mix together flours, oats, baking powder and salt.

In a separate bowl, stir together milk, vegetable oil and egg.

Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until large lumps disappear. Don't over mix.

Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
