In a medium sized bowl, combine all dry ingredients. This includes the chocolate chips. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they are stiff.
In a small bowl, combine the egg yolks and milk. Then, stir in to the dry ingredients. Add the oil and mix. GENTLY fold in beaten egg whites, and mix until large lumps disappear.
Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
