1½ cups sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 cup vinegar
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
12 to 16 chicken wings
¼ cup cornstarch
½ cup cold water
Cooking Process
In pot, combine sugar, salt, bouillon cube, vinegar, ketchup and soy sauce. On electric or gas stove, bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir mixture to dissolve sugar and bouillon cube. Remove form heat.
Place chicken wings in pot. Cover and place pot on base. Simmer at Setting #3 1/2 for 6 to 7 hours.
Increase heat to Setting #5. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Stir into liquid in pot. Cover and simmer at Setting #5 until liquid thickens (about 30 minutes). Keep warm for serving at Setting #2.
