Steam Canner: My Jars Don't Fit

Why won't 7 mason jars fit into my steam canner? Not all mason jars fit the same way into our canners. If you have purchased Golden Harvest mason jars, you will not be able to fit the maximum number of jars onto the rack. Golden Harvest jars have a wider body, which when 7 jars are used, the lid cannot fit on the base. Golden Harvest Jars can be used in the steam canner, but only 6 can fit at one time. Place 5 jars evenly spaced with one jar in the middle to process. Or, if you have more than one brand of jar, mix them on the rack to give you the most usable space.
