Food Strainer: Straining Pumpkins and Squash
How can I strain pumpkins or squash through my food strainer?
Cook the pumpkin or squash until it is soft. Let the squash cool, then scoop it out of its shell or skin, then run it through the strainer. If you do not remove it from the shell before straining, the skin or shell will come through the screen, unlike other thin skinned vegetables.
