How much and what kind of oil can I use?
For 2-quart fondue pots use 3 cups (24 fluid ounces).
For 3-quart fondue pots use 3.5 cups (28 fluid ounces).
DO NOT USE MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT TO PREVENT POSSIBILITY OF HOT OIL OVERFLOWING.
Any type of vegetable oil can be used. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE LARD, SHORTENING, BUTTER, MARGARINE OR OLIVE OIL FOR VEGETABLE OIL AS THESE ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE COOKING.
