The "ON" light was on when I plugged in the cooker. How do I turn it off?

1. The model 86618 egg cooker features a start button with an automatic shutoff. It does not have an on/off switch. In handling at the factory it may have been left in the start position. If this is the case, the "ON" light will glow when it is plugged in for the first time. To turn off, leave plugged in until "ON" light goes out, about 1 minute. This will not harm the egg cooker.
2. Allow egg cooker to cool at least 5 minutes to reset the thermostat in order to turn it back on.
   
   

How do I turn the egg cooker off? - The egg cooker will turn off automatically when the cycle is complete. The red "ON" light will go out. If you want to turn it off before the end of the cycle you must unplug the cord from the outlet. If you do this, the next time you plug the egg cooker in the "ON" light will be on. If this occurs follow steps 1 and 2 given above.
