Measuring Cup

Do I need to use the measuring cup to measure the water?

The water level markings in the base help you determine approximately the amount of water to use. It is always best to measure the amount of water needed with the measuring cup that was included with your egg cooker.

What measurements do the lines on the water cup equal? If I lost my cup, how much water should I use?
