How do I clean my egg cooker?

For models 86618 and 86628.
Wash cover, poaching pan, cooking rack and measuring cup in hot soapy water, rinse and dry.

Allow base to cool, remove cord, add small amount of hot soapy water to base and scour lightly. Wipe with damp cloth and dry.

The base of my egg cooker is stained and covered with mineral deposits. How do I remove them?

To remove mineral deposits pour enough white distilled vinegar into base to cover deposits and let soak until deposits are dissolved. Drain vinegar from base, rinse carefully, drain and wipe dry.

Can I put the egg cooker in the dishwasher?

The cover, poaching pan, cooking rack and measuring cup can be cleaned in dishwasher TOP RACK ONLY. However, the aluminum rack and underside of poaching pan will discolor which is normal but does not affect their performance. For model 86628 DO NOT PUT MEASURING CUP IN DISHWASHER AS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.

After cleaning in dishwasher the non-stick surface of the poaching rack should be wiped lightly with a small amount of vegetable oil to recondition the surface.
