Mineral Deposits
How do I remove mineral deposits?
Mineral deposits will form on the bottom and inside of the coffeemaker if used for heating only water. This is normal and the degree of buildup will vary depending on the hardness of your water. To remove, fill coffeemaker with 1 quart EACH white distilled vinegar and water. If mineral build up is quite severe, add an extra 2 cups vinegar. Place stem and empty coffee basket in place, secure cover, plug in and turn on (if your model has a switch). Allow to complete perk cycle, then let stand 10-15 minutes. Unplug, drain and allow to cool before cleaning parts as normal. Do not immerse coffeemaker base in water or other liquid.
