Does my appliance have an automatic shut-off?

There is not an auto shut-off on these appliances.
The Cocoa Latte has an On/Off switch and a Froth/Dispense switch. To turn it off, make sure the On/Off switch is in the “Off” position, and the “Froth/Dispense” switch is in the “Cancel” position.
The Cocoa Grande has a “Cancel” button, which will turn it off and stop any of the functions.

Why is the liquid overflowing from the top of my machine?

Overflow occurs when liquids are filled up to or over the “Max” fill line. To avoid overflow, fill to just below the “Max” fill line; this will leave enough room for the ingredients to froth.

Does one type of milk froth better than another?

Milk with lower fat content such as skim milk, is best for creating the most froth.
Soy milk, because of its low fat content, provides lots of froth and is an excellent alternative for people who cannot consume dairy.

Why isn’t my stir paddle spinning?

The liquid and cocoa can cause the paddle to bind, leading to the paddle not turning. We recommend filling the container with warm, soapy water, being careful not to immerse the base, and scrub around the stir paddle with a washcloth or a small brush. This will allow the stir paddle to unbind and spin again.

What temperature will my drinks reach?

Cocoa Latte will reach approximately 165-170°F.
Cocoa Grande will reach approximately 150-165°F.
These temperatures will vary based on the types and quantities of ingredients used.
