Whole Grain Waffles
- 1½ cups reduced fat milk
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup quick-cooking oats
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- In a large bowl, mix together flours, oats, baking powder and salt.
- In a separate bowl, stir together milk, vegetable oil and egg.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until large lumps disappear. Don't over mix.
- Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
