Baked Acorn Squash

Smooth, warm, melt in your mouth goodness. Makes a great side dish.

  • 2 small acorn squash
  • ½ cup water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • pat of butter or margarine
  1. Cut 2 small acorn squash in half. Remove seeds and stringy portion.
  2. Place halves in cooking pot, skin side down in layers. Add ½ cup water, if desired.
  3. Cover and cook at Setting # 5 for 2 to 2 ½ hours or until tender. Just before serving season with salt, pepper and a pat of butter or margarine.
