Deluxe Waffles

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon white sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1¼ cups milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
    1. In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
    2. In a separate bowl, mix together the egg yolks, milk, and oil. Pour into the flour mixture and stir until large lumps are gone.
    3. In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into batter.
    4. Pour about ¾ cup of waffle batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook until steam no longer escapes and the waffle is golden brown.
